FBI Colluded With Ukraine to Censor American Citizens Online

The recent revelations uncovered by Twitter Files have shed light on a troubling collusion campaign between Ukraine’s government and the FBI.

The evidence suggests that the two entities attempted to censor American citizens online, an act which is an affront to our constitutional right to free speech.

In an email sent to Twitter by Ukrainian intelligence, the FBI requested the social media platform to ban certain users who posted content or comments critical of Ukraine.

Not only did this list include both American and Canadian journalists, but it also asked for “user data specified during registration” of those targeted individuals.

This type of censorship attempts to silence dissenters and undermines our fundamental freedom of expression and it cannot be tolerated in a democratic society.

Aaron Maté, a Canadian journalist, was one of the first people to detail these explosive findings on his Twitter account.

His tweet has since gone viral and sparked outrage from countless Americans across the country – rightfully so.

This type of behavior should not be accepted in any form or fashion – no matter what political entity commits it – as it goes against our core values of democracy and free speech enshrined within our Constitution.

Our nation must take a stand against this kind of censorship in order for us to protect and preserve our most basic civil liberties.

We must hold those responsible accountable for their actions so that no other foreign governments are ever able to interfere with our Constitutional rights again without facing consequences for their deeds.

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation has aided a Ukrainian intelligence effort to censor social media users and obtain their personal information, leaked emails reveal,” Maté writes. “In March 2022, an FBI Special Agent sent Twitter a list of accounts on behalf of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Ukraine’s main intelligence agency. The accounts, the FBI wrote, ‘are suspected by the SBU in spreading fear and disinformation. In an attached memo, the SBU asked Twitter to remove the accounts and hand over their user data.”

We need more laws put in place that ensure this type of interference will not happen again – laws that punish those who commit such acts severely enough so they think twice before doing something similar again in the future.

  1. We need to do a thorough house-cleaning at the DOJ and the FBI, with extreme prejudice and completely defund and shut down these and any other offending US government agencies. No prisoners and no mercy is warranted or deserved. EXTREME PREJUDICE. Every FBI Agent is an enemy of the American people and deserve to be treated as such.
