Feds Seize Phones Of Trump Advisers Amid Jan. 6 Probe

Former President Donald Trump, a potential 2024 presidential candidate, continues to be the target of federal investigations.

On Tuesday, phones belonging to some of his top advisers and strategists were seized by investigators. This comes after Trump received a letter from special counsel Jack Smith Sunday night informing him that he’s “a target of the January 6th grand jury investigation.”

In addition to this indictment, Trump is also facing charges related to the 2020 election in Fulton County, Georgia.

The New York Times reported that Boris Epshteyn and Mike Roman had their phones seized as part of an ongoing investigation into the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol Building.

John Eastman and Jeffrey Clark had their phones taken in connection with an investigation into ‘fake’ 2020 electors.

Last month Trump was arraigned in Miami for allegedly improperly retaining documents following the conclusion of his presidency despite being covered by the Presidential Records Act

This accusation was brought forth by Biden’s Justice Department led by Merrick Garland (whom Trump turned down for Supreme Court).

Additionally, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has accused Trump of engaging in felonious business practices when he made a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.

In response to these events, Jeff Clark – former DOJ official under Trump – said on Tucker Carlson’s show: “I don’t recognize the country anymore with these kinds of Stasi-like things happening.”

He is not alone in his view, many conservatives have argued that this kind of action taken against President Donald Trump is akin to Soviet tactics from decades past and infringes upon American civil liberties.

Trump’s lawyers have attempted to bar Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from investigating him or using evidence from any future proceedings in her criminal case against him, however, they were unsuccessful as both petitions filed with Fulton County Superior Court and Georgia Supreme Court were denied due to lack of facts or law necessary for mandatory disqualification on such short notice before proceedings began this month.

The action came after Trump revealed earlier in the day that he got a letter from special counsel Jack Smith Sunday night informing him that he’s “a target of the January 6th grand jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment.”

“So now, Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I turned down for the United States Supreme Court (in retrospect, based on his corrupt and unethical actions, a very wise decision!), together with Joe Biden’s Department of Injustice, have effectively issued a third indictment and arrest of Joe Biden’s number one political opponent, who is largely dominating him in the race for the presidency,” Trump added.

The possibility of another indictment looms over Trump following his arraignment in Miami last month.

The Biden Justice Department alleges that he improperly retained documents following the conclusion of his presidency, despite being covered by the Presidential Records Act.

  1. It’s way past time for the Justice dept. FBI and CIA to wake up and get their heads out of their ass. They are propping up a decrepit, frail old criminal and hurting the USA. They may hate Trump but if they put our country first they wouldn’t be propping up a known criminal.

  2. this doj is the most corrupt i have ever seen. reminds me of the nixon one, but, this one is a million times worse

  3. With all this going after Mr. Trump and the public seeing blatant corruption, stealing, no rule of law by dumocrats, why is not the right fighting fire with fire by doing the same thing to Biden, and associate thieves. They have the needed information to go after the various groups, FBI, etc. WHEN WILL YOU EVER LEARN?

  4. Merrick Garland is nothing more than a paid political hack and disgruntled federal employee because he is not sitting on the supreme court. Thank goodness he did not get that job. His behavior as head of the DOJ is nothing but dispicable. He is the one who should be indited for his actions against american citizens due to his political anti american form of justice.
