Joe Biden Struggles to Read Notecards at G20 Summit, Struggle Pronouncing Names

On Saturday, Joe Biden attended the G20 Leaders’ Summit Session in New Delhi, India. Biden arrived in the Indian capital on Friday night, having taken his time to travel abroad. However, he has yet to visit East Palestine, Ohio following a toxic train derailment that occurred there.

On Saturday, Joe Biden was presented with a challenging schedule. Despite having the habit of rising late and working little, he managed to persevere through the day.

Global leaders declared their support for the Partnership for Global Infrastructure & Investment (PGII) and India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.

Joe Biden struggled to read his notecards during the session and at one point he mispronounced Saudia Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman’s name.

“…and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salam, excuse me, Mohammed bin Salman … and since he’s not speaking today, I wanted to — well maybe he is speaking today. I had a note he wasn’t speaking. Any rate, I’m gonna stop there,” Biden said.

Biden met with Mohammed bin Salman, despite having vowed not to due to his belief that the latter had ordered the killing of Khashoggi.
