Republicans Vow to Block Schumer’s Attempt to ‘Temporarily’ Replace Feinstein on Judiciary Committee

Chuck Schumer wants to select a Democratic rubber stamp to replace Dianne Feinstein on a temporary basis.

This does not sit well with Republicans who promise they will block Schumer’s attempt to stack the deck on the Judiciary Committee.

This move comes as a healthy supply of radical judges who have been unable to answer basic questions about the kaw, but that makes sense as radical judges ignore the law anyway.

Schumer said:

“I spoke to Sen. Feinstein just a few days ago. She believes she will return soon. She’s very hopeful of that and so am I.”

Sen Feinstein was diagnosed with shingles and was placed in the hospital. She is now home and recuperating from her illness.

No one knows for certain if and when she can return to the Senate. If she can’t return, Gavin Newsom will name someone to replace her. But, being California, you know it will also be a rubber stamp for Biden’s radical policies. They grow on trees out there.

Sen. Schumer continued:

“We think the Republicans should allow a temporary replacement [on the Judiciary Committee] until she returns.”

Republicans were quick to react.

Marsha Blackburn stated:

“I will not go along with Chuck Schumer’s plan to replace Senator Feinstein on the Judiciary Committee and pack the court with activist judges. Stand up and protect the Senate’s constitutional role to provide advice and consent on judicial nominees.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who also serves on the Judiciary Committee, echoed Blackburn’s sentiments:

“Democrats serve as a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s radical judicial nominees — no matter how unqualified.”

Saturday, fellow Judiciary Committee member Sen. Tom Cotton retweeted an op-ed published by the Federalist. The article urged GOP Senators to oppose the move. Feinstein had requested that someone replaces her on the Judiciary Committee. That seems unlikely at present providing no Republican suffers from weak knees and a lack of a spine. That is a constant concern for conservative voters.

From The Blaze

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) has joined his colleagues on the Judiciary Committee in saying he will not support any move to temporarily replace Sen. Feinstein, CNN’s chief congressional correspondent, Manu Raju, reported Monday afternoon. Sen. Cornyn also reportedly said the GOP “shouldn’t help confirm Biden judicial nominees.”

This “signifies that a Dem effort to replace [Sen. Feinstein] [is] likely to fail in a floor vote,” according to Raju.

Democrats would need 60 votes on the floor to fill Feinstein’s seat on the committee since multiple Judiciary Committee members have already said they would block any request for unanimous consent to seat another Democrat, as explained in The Hill.

Watch Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) field reporters’ questions about his proposal to replace Sen. Feinstein (D-Calif.) on the U.S. Senate’s Committee on the Judiciary below.

Good luck, Chuck.

  1. The ONLY qualification for a Federal Position under the Biden Administration is that they are Female, Black, with a Hispanic Sir Name, and have children that are under 10 years old for him to fondle.

  2. Schumer has wanted a lot of things in the past, all of them hurt the country…that’s what leftists do.
