Russia Threatens ‘Catastrophic Consequences’ If U.S. Continues to Aid Ukraine

Remember when former President Donald Trump said that President Joe Biden is going to start World War III with how he is handling things in Ukraine? Well unless something changes, and quick, that is starting to look like a serious reality.

Biden and his administration have continued to send billions upon billions of American taxpayer money to Ukraine, as well as arms and military equipment. A move that many Americans are extremely unhappy about….and so is Russia.

On Thursday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva “the most acute strategic threat is posed now by the U.S. and NATO policy aimed at further fomenting the conflict in and around Ukraine.”

He added, “Their growing involvement in an armed confrontation is fraught with a direct military clash of nuclear powers with catastrophic consequences.”

Russia also addressed the rumors that Biden is planning to send the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, warning of “unpredictable consequences” if the United States and NATO continue to interfere with the war.

“If this is confirmed, we will witness yet another provocative step by the administration, which can lead to unpredictable consequences,” said the Russian Embassy in Washington. “Continued deliveries of arms will only strengthen the Zelensky regime’s sense of impunity and push it to new crimes against civilians in Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.”

“Washington’s strategy causes enormous damage not only to the Russian-American relations, but also creates additional risks for global security,” the Russian Embassy added.

On Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky implied that the rumors were true during his nightly address as he said, “We are preparing agreements that will strengthen our defense capabilities and give Ukraine more operational capabilities.”

The Patriot system would give Ukraine the ability to shoot down bigger threats from farther away.

I think it is well past time for House Republicans to block any further spending when it comes to Ukraine.

  1. I have two questions for the author, Keely Compson. Why does the author support Russia’s long-stated goal of conquering all lands between it and the Black and Baltic Seas in order to gain warm water ports for a true Deep Water navy? Is the author a Chamberlain, a Quisling, or a pacifist?

    1. Precisely! Russia ha been stealing that land repeatedly to get those ports for a blue water surface fleet, since Peter the Great became enamoured by the Dutch “tall” ships in the 17th century, but had no ports from which to operate such ships of his own. But those ports belong to Ukraine, NOT Russia! This is the Sudetenland all over again. If it was wrong for us to hand hat to Germany, is it not just as wrong to let Putin do this same thing? Does anyone actually believe he wants to build a surface fleet for decoration? Or that a man who wants the USSR back will stop at Ukraine?

  2. Russia invaded Ukraine. It was not the opposite. So why this narrative?
Ukraine government may be corrupt but the civilians are suffering solely due to Russian depravity, which is a hugely worse evil than Ukrainian corruption.
Russia must be removed from Ukraine. There is no alternative.

    1. I do agree. However, it is past time for Ukraine’s neighboring countries to pay their fair share. The U.S. is providing over 3 times the amount that is being probided by other counties combined. We should do our share; however, so should Ukraine’s neighboring countries.

  3. of course biden wants a war, then he can become a war president, meaning no elections til it’s over. and you and i know, the dems will keep it going til there is no one left, except them in their safe bunkers.but hey, what about all the radiation afterward? you won’t be able to come out of your holes for quite a long time. but wait a sec, they don’t have to use a nuke to take the u.s. out. a hypersonic missile with an e.m.p. payload blown up over the u.s. would take out just about all electronics and would not let anything with a curcuit board work. china already has them, and who else we don’t know.yep, ought to be fun to watch this war, oh, but you won’t be able to, no electricity anywhere in the u.s. or canada. have fun fighting folks, gotta get me some popcorn and chips ready.

  4. Time for the US to get out. Never should have been involved in the first place. This is another unwinnable war. Have we learned nothing over many years in other unwinnable wars. Time to take care of our homeland and people!
