Tate Brothers Charged With Rape, Trafficking In Romania

On Tuesday, Romanian prosecutors officially charged former kick-boxer turned online influecer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate, with human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized criminal gang.

Two female suspects have also been taken into custody and are being held under house arrest pending an investigation into these allegations.

All parties involved deny the accusations against them. The official indictment alleges that the brothers formed a criminal gang in 2021 in order to facilitate human trafficking throughout Romania, parts of Europe and even across the U.K., U.S., and beyond.

There are also charges related to the trafficking of children and money laundering. Andrew Tate has been accused of raping one of his victims while Tristan has allegedly instigated others to violence – both unacceptable acts regardless if they can be proven true or not.

The judge now has 60 days to inspect the case files before deciding whether it goes to trial or not.

This process could take several years depending on how complex it is deemed by legal authorities. It would appear that Andrew’s security detail agrees with these claims as they have reported their belief that he lured victims through seduction and false promises of love or marriage – another despicable act if indeed found guilty in court proceedings – which further strengthens why justice needs to prevail here for any potential victims whose lives may have been adversely affected by these alleged abuses committed by this group.

The brothers were initially arrested in Bucharest in December, before being moved to house arrest in March, the outlet continued. In the official indictment, the brothers and two associates are accused of forming an organized criminal gang in 2021 in order to facilitate human trafficking throughout Romania, parts of Europe and the U.K. and U.S., the BBC noted.

The BBC also noted additional charges related to the trafficking of children and money laundering.

Prosecutors reportedly said that the brothers lured their victims in through seduction and false promises of love or marriage, a claim that appears to have also been shared by Tate’s security detail. A spokesperson for both Tate brothers said, “We embrace the opportunity it presents to demonstrate their innocence.”
