On Tuesday, Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping met with U.S. President Joe Biden for the first time in over a year at the historic Filoli Estate near Northern California’s coastal range.
The encounter had an awkward start when Xi Jinping’s vehicle made an overly wide turn that almost led to a collision with a U.S. Marine.
WATCH:
At the meeting between President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, progress was made in areas such as combatting fentanyl and restoring military communications.
This was seen as a positive development for U.S.-China relations. However, following the meeting Biden referred to Xi as a “dictator” in an off-the-cuff remark.
Fortunately, the incident did not escalate further due to a Marine taking a step backward, had they not done so, there is no doubt that Jinping’s driver would have hit the Marine.
LISTEN:
Biden calls Xi Jinping a dictator after face-to-face meeting
“He is a dictator in the sense that he runs a communist-based country that is completely different from ours,” the US president said.
Beijing responded by criticizing Biden's statement.
Nice ending of the visit 🤣… pic.twitter.com/dKY94oUNrp

Just another Dog and Pony show.
Good grief!!!!! Why can’t Xi take Brandon back to China when he leaves???!!
Xi probably told his driver to do this just so he could show one of my fellow US Marines move out of danger instead of holding his ground
Barack Obama: “Don’t underestimate Joe Biden’s ability to F- things up.”
