The Biden Administration is taking the threat of the impeachment of Alejandro Mayorkas, the head of Homeland Security seriously, as well as they should. He has opened the border in every way he could think of them.
Some of them were actually legal, too. Two members of Congress have written up articles of impeachment, including Rep Pat Fallon and Rep Andy Biggs. They are accusing him of committing felonies and misdemeanors in his job.
Before we go any further, I would like to clear up something that many people get confused by. You do not have to be convicted in a court of law to be impeached for felonies and misdemeanors.
You only have to be “a public official who’s abused and violated the public trust and constitutes a danger that we can’t wait till the next election to remove.” This describes Mayorkas to a tee. Mayorkas has not even pretended to do his job or defend our border.
The vast majority of illegals coming into this country are what are known as economic refugees. However, economic refugees are not eligible for asylum. You do not get asylum simply because you want to make more money.
And besides, these illegals take jobs that should be going to Americans, but they are not because Democrats love illegal immigrants. Americans? Not so much.
The Department of Homeland Security is bringing on a private law firm to help with potential impeachment proceedings against Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, according to three sources familiar with the matter.
House Republicans have been moving to build a case against Mayorkas as they consider launching rare impeachment proceedings against a Cabinet secretary.
“The Department of Homeland Security has retained outside counsel to help ensure the Department’s vital mission is not interrupted by the unprecedented, unjustified, and partisan impeachment efforts by some Members of Congress, who have already taken steps to initiate proceedings,” a Homeland Security spokesperson said.
The law firm is Debevoise & Plimpton, according to one source. While the Department of Homeland Security Office of General Counsel has various lawyers to deal with matters, including immigration and cybersecurity, the outside firm is being brought in on a government contract and only be utilized to the extent it is needed throughout the process, another source said.
Alejandro Mayorkas is just the first of several Democrats who will be facing impeachment. Joe Biden is on that list and he will probably have as many articles posted against him as all of the rest of them combined.
Since taking office, he has done much more for China, Russia, and Iran than he has even pretended to do for Americans.
Democrats have ignored the plight of Americans ever since they discovered they do not need real voters to win elections.

I know our tax dollars will be used to hire lawyers and tens of millions will have to be spent regardless of if the worthless trash is impeached or not. What is more enraging is we’re also going to be paying for his lawyers! No politician ever pays for their own lawyers. That’s something that needs to change, no one would pay for my lawyers if I did such a horrible job that it put our entire country in danger, and financial ruin. Not only should politicians be responsible for their own lawyers, if they loose they should have to pay whatever expenses the American people would be responsible for while taking the political trash to court. They sure have enough money since they have been stealing money from taxpayers their entire time in office.
So the taxpayers are now paying for an outside law firm on a government contract to defend this *alleged* traitor to the Constitution? This should not be allowed. Oh, he is entitled to the best defense he can muster, but it absolutely should not be at the taxpayer’s expense! The office is not being impeached, the person is!
